Dario Zingales

 

studied in Milan, where he was a student of Prof. Luigi Magistrelli. In 2005 he graduated with honors. In June 2008 he completed his clarinet studies with a second degree also in the class of Prof. Luigi Magistrelli at the Conservatory of Milan again with honors.

Since 2007, he studied at the University Mozarteum with Professor Alois Brandhofer (principal clarinet Berlin Philharmonic). 2012, he completed his Master's degree with honors.

 

He is one of the founders of the clarinet quartet "Fusion Clarinet Quartet" with which he in 2005 won the "Ferrero" award for wind ensembles. The quartet has since then been several times a guest in concert series at the Conservatory of Milan.

 

In February 2006, Zingales attended the "Mozart Marathon" part of the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, which was co-organized from the prestigious club "Società del Quartetto". In September 2007, he was, together with his chamber music partners, participants in the international MITO Festival.

He gained orchestral experience in the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Conservatory and the Orchestra "Milano Classica".

He has played at the "Luigi Cherubini" Orchestra under the baton of Riccardo Muti.

He also played first clarinet in the Symphony Orchestra of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, conducted by André Previn, Gerd Albrecht, and Dennis Russell Davies. He plays as a Principal clarinet in the „Junge München Philharmonie“ and „Junge Philharmonie Salzburg“.In November 2009 he won the audition for the Amadeus Orchestra Salzburg.

 

Since August 2009 till September 2012, he played as a principal clarinet in the "Philharmonia of the Nations" conducted by Justus Frantz (trips to America, Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Russia).

As a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Mozarteum University, Zingales played the "Sinfonia Concertante" by Mozart KV297b and the Clarinet Concerto by Mozart.In December 2011 he has played in Linz with great success the Clarinet Concerto from Mozart under the direction of J. Wallnig.

Zingales is a member of "Bläserphilharmonie Universität Mozarteum" under conducting from Hansjörg Angerer.

As a chamber music musician, he has performed with many great performers such as Lukas Hagen, Pierre Amoyal, Thomas Riebl, Peter Lang, Jacques Rouvier, and Hansjörg Angerer.

For the CD-Label Urania Records he recorded in 2013 “Grand Duo Clarinet” (LDV14014),  in 2014 "SOLO" (LDV14017), and in 2015 "Gassenhauer for 3" (LDV14022).

He is since October 2012 assistant form the Clarinets Class from Alois Brandhofer and since October 2015 also from the Clarinet Class from Prof. Wenzel Fuchs in the Mozarteum University.
